Jump out of the round and embrace the wiggly, the wobbly, and the weird! Join Twig Cosby to learn techniques for creating dynamic, lively, and expressive mug forms by altering wheel-thrown cylinders. This two-day workshop will explore the process of altering forms from concept to execution, with detailed demonstrations and dedicated practice & making time.
Each student will be provided one bag of BC6 clay and bisque firing for up to 4 mugs.
Advanced-beginner to intermediate wheel experience recommended. Registrants must be able to center and throw a cylinder.
Twig Cosby is a studio potter, wood-fire artist, and ceramics educator. With over a decade of experience and a background in production pottery, Twig brings a deep respect for process and utilitarian forms. Twig is currently the artist in residence at Pleasant Hill Pottery in Lane County, OR.
